Why Am I Losing Hair on My Forehead?

Hair loss occurs on account of lacking hygiene, lack of a proper hair care routine, nutrition deficiency, or medical conditions. Shedding about 100 hair every day is acceptable, if however, your count exceeds this number it might be worrying. It then becomes important to identify the cause behind hair fall to start following the suitable treatment for an immediate cure.

Hair fall on the forehead is the most noticeable since a change in the hairline can be observed with the naked eye and becomes extremely evident. This might in fact be the beginning of a severe hair condition. The most common reason behind hair fall is lack of nutrition, both internal and external. Just like all other body parts, our hair needs nutrition to stay healthy and keep growing.

To keep the hair healthy you must take a balanced diet rich in proteins, zinc, and iron. Further, to keep your hair nourished and moisturized externally it is integral to oil and massage your hair at an interval of 2-3 days. You must also use hair masks and conditioners to keep the hair strong.

What Causes Frontal Hair Loss?

Forehead hair fall can be caused due to a lack of hair health. Hair becomes weak over time if not taken care of and eventually starts shedding. The causes behind hair loss on the forehead are as follows:

  • Balanced diet: Taking a healthy balanced diet is integral for maintaining strong hair. Vitamins including vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, iron, zinc, and protein are necessary for hair. If you are not taking a good diet then your hair will not get the required nutrition and start falling out.
  • Excessive stress: One of the most common reasons for hair fall among people has been identified as excessive stress. It is important therefore to engage in activities that help you relax such as meditation or yoga. In fact, exercising regularly is extremely healthy not just for your body but also for your hair.
  • Hairstyling: Another reason for hair fall is unrestrained styling. Flat irons, curl irons or even blow dryers use heat that can make the hair dry leading to breakage. Further, tying the hair too tightly or using the same style and partition every day can also cause forehead hair loss in females. To avoid hair fall, you must therefore rule out styling as much as possible.
  • Lack of hair care: Not just internally but hair requires external nourishment and conditioning as well to remain strong and keep growing. To provide this nourishment, you must use hair masks and also oil and massage your hair frequently. You must make sure that your hair and scalp have sufficient moisture to avoid breakage.
  • Dandruff: Excessive dryness can cause dandruff which makes the scalp dry. Even though dandruff is not directly connected to hair fall, the itching caused because of dandruff can damage the hair follicles restricting hair growth. One must therefore moisturize the hair and scalp and follow the appropriate dandruff treatment to stop hair loss.
  • Medical condition: If your hair loss has been increasing over time and has no visible improvement even after following the basic treatment it might mean that there is an underlying medical condition. Drugs consumed to cure arthritis, heart problems, high blood pressure and several other diseases can cause hair fall. You must consult a hair specialist to identify the problem.
  • Hereditary hair loss: In several cases, hair loss can be caused due to hereditary problems. A receding hairline can also be hereditary and must be treated at the earliest to prevent much damage. In case of a hereditary problem, medical treatment should be sought at the earliest to improve the condition.
  • Hormones: Hormonal changes can also lead to hair fall problems. Hormonal changes can occur during pregnancy, post-pregnancy, and also if someone has PCOS. They are a major contributor to hair loss issues and must be treated to control hair fall.

The above-mentioned are some of the basic causes of frontal hair loss. However, this is not an exhaustive list and it is recommended to always consult your hair specialist to identify the exact cause of your hair fall problem. With the help of several tests, the hair specialist can help you identify the problem and recommend the right course of action to you, be it employing natural remedies or undergoing medical treatment.

Why Am I Losing My Hair Around My Hairline?

Losing hair around the hairline happens when the hair follicles in that area have become either dormant or are dead. Hair follicles are the pores in our scalp from where hair grows and if the hair follicle gets damaged then hair growth stops.

Losing hair around the hairline can be the beginning of a graver hair problem and can lead to baldness if not taken care of. It is possible to regrow this hair by making the hair follicles active once again by employing certain natural remedies or even undergoing medical or surgical treatment. It is necessary to treat the receding hairline at the earliest so that you can stop further hair loss from happening.

Can Hair Loss Be a Sign of Something Serious?

Hair loss can be a sign of something serious and hence, it is recommended to consult a hair specialist who can study the problem in depth. There can be multiple reasons behind hair fall problems starting from something as basic as improper diet or unfavorable weather conditions to something as serious as a scalp infection or a medical condition.

Until the proper reason is not identified, nothing can be said about the gravity of the problem. The best way to go about it is to employ certain natural remedies at the beginning and if no significant result can be witnessed, then you must get certain tests done and rely on the professional diagnosis.

Even if there is something serious, you must remember that every hair problem is curable if the treatment starts timely. It has become possible to regrow hair even in case of baldness and therefore you must seek help at the earliest to get rid of your hair problems.

What Is the Best Treatment for Frontal Hair Loss?

What Is the Best Treatment for Frontal Hair Loss?

There are multiple hair treatments to solve hair problems. Even in the case of frontal hair loss, there are several treatments available from which one can choose. Some of the possible treatments have been listed below:

  • Natural remedies: It is always suggested to opt for natural remedies before going for medical treatment. Natural remedies have been effective in most cases if the problem is in its initial stage. To control hair fall you can use onion juice, amla juice, green tea leaves, rice water, and coconut oil on the hair and scalp.

All of these can be applied to the hair 30 minutes before rinsing them. You can also use aloe vera gel on your hair that helps in unclogging the hair follicles thereby promoting hair growth. Using natural remedies can be helpful, if however, you do not see any significant results then you must seek medical advice and undergo medical treatment to prevent further hair loss from happening.

  • Medical treatment: There are several medical treatments that can cure frontal hair loss. You can choose from laser therapy, hair extensions, medicinal shampoos and drugs, and Strand-by-Strand Ultimate to cure your problem. Along with medical treatments, you can also go for cosmetic treatments such as a Strand-by-Strand Cosmetic which can give you a full crown look with no pain or irritation.

  • Surgical treatments: The last option to cure hair loss problems is surgical treatment. A hair transplant can cure any stage and any kind of hair loss problem. In this technique, hair strands are replanted in the bald areas from other areas where you have hair.

This can be a long process but will surely yield good results and help you get a full crown back. Multiple tests need to be undertaken before starting this treatment but the patience is surely worthwhile.

I am honestly thankful to Advanced Hair Studios. I suffer from a hair-pulling disorder. There is this constant urge to pull off your hair follicles. It is painless when you pull but extremely painful when you see a missing patch on your scalp. But, I feel blessed with AHS hair fall treatment. I can see baby hair growing. It’s been two weeks. All I can see is low hair fall.

I have done my hair transplant surgery in AHS Delhi Branch on 2019 by travelling to Delhi from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The front and the back portion of my head were bald and through the hair transplant surgery, they have managed to cover the front portion of my head and the former appearance of my face returned back. The way they collected hairs from the donor portion did not affect my donor area at all. I am quite happy with my result. I have been consulting with them for a second seating so that they can cover the back portion of my head as well so that the hair density on top will increase and the bald portion of my head will reduce to a minimum level.
