If you are aware of the physiology of hair then you will surely agree that the most important factor to get healthy, lustrous & voluminous hair is to keep your scalp healthy & clean. Hair follicles need apt conditions to give the best of results and any adversity leads to frizzy, brittle & lackluster strands.

What is scalp detox?

In simple language detox means doing a deep cleanse of the scalp.

Why do you need to detox your scalp?

Over the time, lots of hair products have flooded the market & in a quest to give your hair the best you use various products regularly. From hair colors to shampoos, from styling gels to mousse, from conditioners to masks, there are so many options with such luring advertisements that it’s difficult not to use them. These products bombard your scalp with chemicals & toxins.

Environmental pollution is another major reason which leads to a build- up on the scalp. In addition, the use of hard water to wash it, experimenting with new products without thinking, does more damage. With every change of weather, new harsh conditions throw a challenge to maintain a healthy scalp.

To take care of your scalp’s health you need to detox it regularly.

What are the benefits of detoxing the scalp regularly?

Detoxifying regularly ensures a healthy scalp by cleaning & rejuvenating it. This results in healthy hair follicles & healthier strands.

  • It helps remove the toxin build-up.
  • It gives good riddance from the grime & dirt.
  • It leads to unclogging of the follicles.
  • It helps tackle dandruff, dryness & irritation.

5 effective ways to detox your scalp:

Here you will find five potent ways in which you can detoxify your scalp in the comfort of your home.

#1. Oil Massage:

The simplest way to detox your scalp is the good old oil massage. This helps in increasing the blood circulation on the scalp & stimulating and strengthening the hair follicles.

You can choose from numerous hair oils like coconut, olive, jojoba, lavender, etc.

#2. Exfoliation:

Sodium Bicarbonate commonly known as Baking Soda is a wonderful exfoliator. It cleanses the scalp thoroughly & opens the pores of the follicles. In addition, it has antibacterial & antifungal properties that ensures good health of the scalp & hair.

Another effective way to exfoliate your scalp is to make a mixture of brown sugar, oatmeal & coconut oil & apply on the scalp.

A combination of sea salt, lemon juice mixed with olive oil also gives the desired result.

Exfoliating removes toxins, dirt & build-up along with removing dead cells & dandruff.

#3. Clay Mask:

A well-known detoxifying agent from ancient times is the Bentonite Clay. This clay mask absorbs excess oil & removes chemicals & heavy metals from the scalp.

I am honestly thankful to Advanced Hair Studios. I suffer from a hair-pulling disorder. There is this constant urge to pull off your hair follicles. It is painless when you pull but extremely painful when you see a missing patch on your scalp. But, I feel blessed with AHS hair fall treatment. I can see baby hair growing. It’s been two weeks. All I can see is low hair fall.

I have done my hair transplant surgery in AHS Delhi Branch on 2019 by travelling to Delhi from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The front and the back portion of my head were bald and through the hair transplant surgery, they have managed to cover the front portion of my head and the former appearance of my face returned back. The way they collected hairs from the donor portion did not affect my donor area at all. I am quite happy with my result. I have been consulting with them for a second seating so that they can cover the back portion of my head as well so that the hair density on top will increase and the bald portion of my head will reduce to a minimum level.

Hi all, I had a problem with my hair, and I visited Advanced Hair Studio, Hyderabad. Here, the experts are amazing. My low hair density problem was explained very nicely, and some solutions were suggested. The solutions were fantastic. If you have any such issues, I recommend that you come and make an appointment. There was a lot of care and attention displayed by their staff in handling my hair fall issue. Similarly, the receptionists are both friendly and courteous, and the atmosphere is clean and fresh. This clinic deserves 5 stars.
