·        Strategic Planning:

o   Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Provide vision and leadership for the development and implementation of IT initiatives.

o   Identify and prioritize AI initiatives that drive value and innovation.

o   Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate AI strategies into the broader IT and business strategy.

·        AI Technology Management:

o   Oversee the evaluation, selection, and deployment of AI technologies and tools.

o   Manage AI infrastructure, including data pipelines, machine learning platforms, and computing resources.

o   Ensure the integration of AI solutions with existing systems and applications.

·        Technology Management:

o   Oversee the management and operation of IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and data centres.

o   Ensure that all technology systems are functioning optimally.

·        Team Leadership:

o   Lead, mentor, and manage the IT department team.

o   Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

o   Develop and implement professional development plans for team members.

·        Project Management:

o   Oversee IT project & AI-related projects from inception through deployment and maintenance.

o   Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

o   Coordinate with other IT and business units to ensure successful project execution.

·        Data Management and Analytics:

o   Develop strategies for data collection, storage, and management to support AI initiatives.

o   Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.

o   Utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of AI solutions and provide insights for continuous improvement.

 

·        Security and Compliance:

o   Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures.

o   Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

o   Manage data security and disaster recovery plans.

·        Vendor Management:

o   Evaluate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.

o   Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

·        Risk Management:

o   Identify potential IT risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

o   Ensure that IT systems are resilient and can recover quickly from disruptions.

·        Stakeholder Engagement:

o   Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and ensure AI solutions address business challenges.

o   Communicate complex AI concepts and project statuses to non-technical stakeholders.

·        Innovation and Research:

o   Stay current with AI trends, technologies, and best practices.

o   Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

o   Promote a culture of innovation and experimentation within the AI team.

 

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Proven experience (typically 12+ years) in IT or a related field, with a strong focus on AI technologies and applications.
• Experience in a leadership role managing AI teams and projects.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of AI methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of industry-specific AI applications and use cases.
• Familiarity with regulatory and ethical considerations related to AI.
