Hair loss occurs usually due to many different reasons and it can vary from mild hair thinning to complete baldness. If you are experiencing hair loss, browse our hair loss conditions section below to see what’s causing it, in order to identify your problem.

Here is the description of most hair loss conditions so that you are able to have an idea of your diagnosis in order to understand the cause of your problem and can get the best solution:

Androgenic alopecia

This is a genetic hair loss condition by which both men and women are affected. Men with this condition, which is also known as male pattern baldness, is when men suffer hair loss as early as their teen years. A receding hairline and gradual disappearance of hair from the frontal scalp and crown occurs. Women can also have a similar condition, which is known as female pattern baldness. However, in this case women do not experience clear thinning until their 40s or later. Women experience a general thinning over the entire scalp, with the excessive hair loss at the crown.

Alopecia areata

This is a hair loss condition which often starts suddenly and causes patchy hair loss in young adults and children. This condition may result in complete baldness, generally called - alopecia totalis. However, in most of the cases, the hair returns within a few years.

Involutional alopecia

This is a natural condition in which the hair steadily thins with age. More hair follicles go into the resting phase, and the remaining hairs become fewer and shorter.

Alopecia universalis

In this hair loss condition, all body hair falls out, including eyelashes, eyebrows, and pubic hair.

Traction alopecia

Traction Alopecia is any form of hair loss caused by extreme force caused to the hair for a long period of time. This includes pulling or twisting hair resulting from hair styling or can be caused by wearing headwear and tight wigs. It damages the hair follicles, temporarily arresting the hair growth.

Telogen effluvium

This is a temporary hair thinning condition that occurs over the scalp because of changes in the growth cycle of hair. It causes subsequent thinning and hair shedding.

Scarring alopecias

This is a hair loss condition that results in permanent loss of hair. Some inflammatory skin conditions and other skin disorders often result in scars that destroy the ability of the hair to regenerate hair too tightly pulled and woven, and can also result in permanent hair loss.

Ringworm

This is hair loss condition which is caused by the same fungus that causes athlete’s foot – tinea capitis. It can cause swollen, painful and itchy patches of hair loss, often occurring in ring shapes and can be easily treated with antifungal creams.

Trichotillomania

This hair condition is seen most often in children. This is a psychological disorder in which a person pulls out one's own hair.

I am honestly thankful to Advanced Hair Studios. I suffer from a hair-pulling disorder. There is this constant urge to pull off your hair follicles. It is painless when you pull but extremely painful when you see a missing patch on your scalp. But, I feel blessed with AHS hair fall treatment. I can see baby hair growing. It’s been two weeks. All I can see is low hair fall.

I have done my hair transplant surgery in AHS Delhi Branch on 2019 by travelling to Delhi from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The front and the back portion of my head were bald and through the hair transplant surgery, they have managed to cover the front portion of my head and the former appearance of my face returned back. The way they collected hairs from the donor portion did not affect my donor area at all. I am quite happy with my result. I have been consulting with them for a second seating so that they can cover the back portion of my head as well so that the hair density on top will increase and the bald portion of my head will reduce to a minimum level.
